17th Jazz Workshop in Jodoigne – further information

 Registration for the summer residential jazz courses organised in Belgium is now in full swing.

The jazz worshop in Jodoigne begins on  Sunday 5 July at 11.00 am  and ends on  Friday 10 July 2026  with the final recital.

The course is open to all musicians aged 14 and over who have a good command of their instrument and wish to broaden their musical horizons or are keen to discover or refine their jazz performance skills.

Each day will be divided into three parts:

  • Instrumental lessons: individual or small group lessons depending on the discipline
  • Ensemble lessons: 2 hours per day
  • Optional group lessons: harmony, rhythm, free improvisation, group singing, aural training, vocal improvisation, duets, listening exercises…

For lunch, you can have a picnic or enjoy a snack, sandwich, soup, etc. in the immediate vicinity of the Music Academy.

In the evening, there is a jam session after dinner at the boarding house. Please note that this is reserved for course participants on the first two evenings.
