Saint Jazz Festival • DAY 2 @ La Tricoterie • BBUNG + Brice Ndjana Band

For its 39th edition, Brussels' grooviest festival is casting off its municipal roots. This year, the festival is heading to Saint-Gilles, where the walls breathe culture, with a first stop at Jacques Franck on September 13 and a second one at La Tricoterie on September 20.

Oscillating between jazz-fusion, funk and hip-hop, BBUNG is a group of seven musicians from all over Belgium, whose music is charged with transcendental energy and raw emotion.

Deeply inspired by artists such as Snarky Puppy, Weather Report and Herbie Hancock, BBUNG is a reunion, a tribal gathering of long-time friends who have decided to inject their strengths and desires into a single breath to return to the essence of music, a wild flow of life that can only be expressed.

10pm - Brice Ndjana Band

Originally from Cameroon and based in Belgium for the past five years, Brice Ndjana is a bassist, songwriter and arranger. A very active musician on the Belgian and cross-border scene, he has collaborated with many artists while gradually establishing his own artistic identity. With his Afro Jazz Fusion project, Brice takes the audience on a journey into a world where Afro sounds blend with the colours of jazz and the power of polyrhythm. What he calls his ‘musical multiverse’ comes to life on stage and heralds the upcoming release of his

first album, I Found Myself. Festive, profound and irresistibly groovy music: an absolute must-see live!
