Nanaue is a project that originated in Italy from the collaboration between Emiliano Deferrari and Matteo Nahum. Active live since 2011 and in the studio since 2012, the duo now works internationally — with Deferrari based in Belgium and Nahum in Spain. Their music blends jazz, art rock and experimentation, featuring original compositions that combine narrative elements with improvisation. Their latest album, 28IF (Rattsburg Records, 2021), was recorded and mixed between Brussels, Genoa, Rome and Valencia. Live performances range from duo to sextet, with arrangements incorporating acoustic, electronic and chamber music instruments.
