Tom Bourgeois & Kuo Chu-Yu Duo

Kuo Chun-Yu and Tom Bourgeois met for the first time in 2013 in Brussels at the KCB (Royal Conservatory of Brussels). They graduated in 2015, and when Tom heard Kuo Chun-Yu’s final concert, he was impressed by his piano skills. Time passed and Tom began to play regularly in Taiwan, notably with the group “Vestige.” In 2022, following a tour, he suggested to Kuo Chun-Yu that they perform a concert as a trio. The musical connection was immediate, spontaneous, and very natural. Tom Bourgeois’ compositions and playing perfectly complement Kuo Chun-Yu’s pianistic universe, tinged with classical music and jazz. In January 2024, they decided to play a few concerts and record an album in the process. They were fortunate to be able to work at the Shine-Art Foundation in Xiluo, a foundation dedicated to the arts, and to be able to record on site. They worked with sound engineer Chou Han Tsay, with mixing by Tom Bourgeois and mastering by Gert Van Hoof. The cover art was designed by Tzuting Ysai, with graphics by Sébastien Gairaud.
