Scholly, Kremer and Ramond experiment with musical material from the “American Songbook” in a very personal way.

The trio will surprise you with inventive interpretations of various compositions, by Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk and others... Fluid phrasing, skilful note placement and pauses.

Kurt Van Herck was born in Belgium in 1965 and studied at the Antwerp Jazz Studio with Dennis Luxion and John Ruocco.

Since 1986, he has worked with Dré Pallemaerts, Bert Joris, Diederik Wissels, Erwin Vann, Frank Vaganée, Philippe Aerts, Michel Herr, Daniel Romeo, Éric Legnini, Michel Hatzigeorgiou, Riccardo Del Fra, Serge Lazarevitch, Nathalie Loriers and Kris Goessens,...

Kurt has also joined pop musicians such as Viktor Lazlo, Kadja Nin and Axelle Red on stage.

Internationally, he has played with Joe Lovano, Larry Schneider, Dave Liebman, Alain Jean-Marie, Archie Shepp, Joe Haider, Slide Hampton and Bob Mover.

He is a member of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and has worked with the BRT Jazz Orchestra,

In 1993, he founded the Kurt Van Herck-Kris Goessens Quartet (with Nicolas Thys and Dré Pallemaerts), the group All The Way (with Daniel Romeo, Kris Goessens and Dré Pallemaerts) and the Trio Kurt van Herck.

Since 1995, he has been teaching jazz, saxophone, ensemble and bigband at the Royal Flemish Conservatory in Antwerp.
