Tom Van Dyck on saxes, Milan Verbist on piano, father Piet Verbist on double bass and Wim Eggermont on drums. This group was not formed in the rehearsal room but playfully here and there on small stages in Antwerp. On the spot, always playing confidently and relaxed at the gig. Turns out that with this quartet new, sometimes risky ideas often want to work well. In the past often kept on course with flamenco-fusion compositions by Piet Verbist and jazz by Joe Henderson and Thelonious Monk, this evening they are flying on the basis of some maps by Tom and Milan. As always, free admission.
