With ’RUBY’ Lorenzo Di Maio continues his musical journey towards something more eclectic and contrasting. While retaining a strong taste for melodic compositions, he’s having fun blending genres with this new polymorphous quartet.
Comprising Lorenzo Di Maio on guitar, Wajdi Riahi on piano and Fender Rhodes, Cédric Raymond on Moog and Prophet and Pierre Hurty on drums, RUBY is an assertive patchwork of the guitarist’s varied influences, distilling music where delicate melodies alternate with virtuoso strokes, where the natural coexists with the sophisticated, where serenity rubs shoulders with visceral, organic energy.
