For 40 minutes, the brilliant inventor Adolphe Sax is back in Belgium and becomes 'Mr. Saxo'! A colorful character, he captivates his audience with classical, jazz, amusing or curious melodies from his repertoire. Accompanied by his pianist counterpart 'Mr. Berlioz', it presents this expressive instrument at will that is the saxophone. This show develops a funny 19th century atmosphere and thrives between storytelling, comedy, and music! It approaches through dialogues and musical choices varied themes: inventors, the 19th century, musical styles, jazz and its symbolism... Off the beaten track ballad, this duo is an ode to the saxophone, from Ravel’s ‘Boléro” to the music of Sydney Bechet. He revisits the great unmissable successes of the latter and explores the life of a novator with a strong character but so friendly... ‘Mr. Saxo’ !
