BASILE RAHOLA QUARTET - !! Reporté !!

Double bass player Basile Rahola presents his new quartet with three outstanding musicians from the Belgian and French jazz scene. Pierre Hurty, eclectic French drummer based between Brussels and Paris.

Baptiste Stanek, a young and promising saxophonist and Wajdi Riahi, his lifelong sidekick, a particularly creative pianist.

For this project, Basile has created a whole new repertoire, drawing inspiration from feelings experienced over the past few years, both from a personal and human point of view, but also from past encounters and travels.

This quartet offers a jazz pushing the dynamics to the extreme, bringing an imposing range of nuances, while maintaining the sincerity and spontaneity of the musical discourse as the main subject. These four musicians who have just recorded their first album on the prestigious Fresh Sound New Talent label, in which two distinguished guests are present (Octavio Hernández and Claudio Jr De Rosa) we present the content of this promising opus during this concert.
