Journalist in the press, and host of the radio show "La troisième oreille" on RTBF la Première.

Thomas Owen called Marc Danval a «monster of Belgian literature». Marc Danval wrote the first biography of Sacha Guitry and of the Belgian poet (and jazz lover) Robert Goffin.

He signed poetry books, such as "Parmi moi seul", and some of his essays have been used in theater : "Les poètes du jazz" and "L'Insaisissable Robert Goffin".

He wrote jazz articles in numerous mazines and newspapers, and participated in reference jazz books such as the "Dictionnaire du Jazz à Bruxelles et en Wallonie".

In 2006, during the ceremony of the Belgian Django d'Or awards, he receives the Muse, a special price from Sabam, for his global contribution to the jazz scene in Belgium.

In the fall 2006, the "Edtions Racine" publish his monography "Toots Thielemans".

In 2014, "Robert Goffin, avocat, poète et homme de jazz" and "Histoire du Jazz en Belgique".
