Yann is a Belgian drummer/percussionist.
He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the "Jazz" section.
With his experience as a sideman with the following musicians among others: Guillaume Vierset, Dorian Dumont, Joachim Caffonnette, Julien Hucq, Eliott Knuets, Reggie Washington, Giuseppe Millaci, Federico Stocchi, Vincent Cuper, Benjamin Dubray.
He forged his musical identity by taking part in different projects; Casanoé, The Map Trio, Jim, Denis K, Vincent Antoine Quartet, the Namur Big Band.
Today he plays in different projects; Tom white shoes, Sankofa duo, Laminoir Collectif, Ntoumos, The Line and the Yann.
Yann is a drummer who is increasingly developing his musical personality.
He is in constant search of evolution in his playing and always remains in perpetual quest of exchanging experiences in contact with all the musicians around him.
He focuses his practice on creativity, sound and energy.
His stylistic influences range from rock to blues through funk, groove, jazz, African and South American rhythms.
What he has most to share is his passion for music and the emotion that it conveys in him.
