Studies saxophones with one of modern jazz pioneers in Belgium, Jack Sels.
His favorite musicians are Lester Young, Charlie Parker and Sony Stitt.
Released in 92-93, his album 'Jazzy Tunes' features 13 original compositions by Mox, where he plays tenor sax, accompanied by the 'New look trio', of Roger Van Haverbeke with the late Freddy Rottier: and Pascal Michaux at the keyboard, a musician inspired by Oscar Peterson.
Since '97, George Mox who retired as a CEO performed in combo at the Antwerp jazz clubs
His 1st CD was followed by a single 6'37 "Antverpiana" a tribute to Antwerp, in English.
En 1996 G. Mox recorded 2 Demos CDs with his own compositions, 10 jazz compositions played by a group conducted by Ivan Paduart with Patrick Deltenre (guitar), Ivan Paduart (piano), Gino Lattuca (tp), Mimi Verderame (drums), Nic Thijs (bass), Phillys Harell (vocals) and George Mox on tenor sax.
September 1996 Georges Mox recorded 13 pieces with a band with Pascal Michaux(piano), Dirk Vanderlinden (gt), Jean Van Lint(b), Dirk Dergent (drs) and Nick Fissette (tp), entitled 'Bop, Bossa and Balads'.
August 1999, with Pascal Michaux trio accompanied singer Hilde Van Hove, performing 6 songs by George Mox ('Springtime in the winter'), completed with material from previous recordings.
George Mox died on August 8, 2002 after a long illness.
