Music Lyceum of Iassy:

  • Bel canto and piano, composition, conducting, history of music, contrapunct, orchestration, theory and solfegio
  • Romanian and universal literature;
  • Foreign languages: English, French, German, Italian.
Music Conservatory of Iassy:
  • Bel canto, piano and vocal jazz, Choir and Orchestra conducting, folklore, methodology, musicalforms, jazz improvisation and arrangement;
  • She graduated with diploma entitled: "CHARLIE PARKER AND THE GENIUS OF IMPROVISATION".
Anca PARGHEL has since then matured into an amazing jazz singer, with incredible technical possibilities. Her voice has a range of 4 octaves and she has developed an extraordinary scat technique. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

From 1981 to 1989: she taught Bel canto, piano, jazz improvisation at the Music Lyceum of Suceava, Romania.

Since 1980 she has been teaching in different countries and workshops:

  • Belgium (Bruges, Namur "Jazz au Vert, La Marlagne")
  • Germany (Hannover, Ravensburg, Leipzig Conservatory, Munich, Oldenburg...)
  • England (Silsoe and Cleolaine Workshops)
  • Austria (Linz)
  • Romania (Bucharest Conservatory)
  • Moldavia (Kisinau)

    Since 1984, performances all over Europe in many festivals:
    Nürnberg, Leipzig, Varsaw, Ingolstadt, Leverkussen, Vienna, Liège, Tübingen, Munich, Linz, Oupeye, Wiesen, Zagreb, Varna, Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu, Costinesti, Iassy, Lomza, Kisinau, Bratislava...
    ...and many jazz clubs in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania...

    She is a gifted artist with various talents and many faces : singer, composer, arranger, teacher, band leader and conductor.

    She is currently working on a book with a video tape entitled "Combined vocal technics for jazz and canto-vocal improvisation".


    In 1997, she became for a few years the vocal jazz teacher at the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music and Leuven's Lemmens Music Conservatory, Belgium.
