Rui Salgado Trio

Rui Salgado Trio is a piano trio with Marco Marceletti on piano, Rui Salgado on double bass and Louis Kubben on drums. The trio has developed a concert repertoire based on the compositions of double bassist Rui Salgado, pieces by composer Enrico Pieranuzi and some little-known pieces from the repertoire of Wayne Shorter. The three musicians met at jazz jams in Brussels and for a year held regular sessions to develop their sound. Their first audio/video recording for the Youtube Chanel of Rui Salgado took place on the Jazz Station stage and consists of three compositions by Rui Salgado, two compositions by Enrico Pieranuzi and a ballad arrangement of the standard All the things you are. The musicians are inspired by the trio of Brad Mehldau, Robert Glasper, Aaron Parks among others.
