Pianist, songwriter, and composer André Manoukian transcends his media persona. Following Anouch—a tribute to his grandmother, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide—he continues a deeply personal musical exploration of his roots. With the album La Sultane, he celebrates his younger sister, whom their mother nicknamed "my sultana." For this project, Manoukian has expanded his musical world by collaborating with artists such as singer Arpi Alto and percussionist Anissa Nehar. On stage, he is joined by a tight-knit quartet led by Mosin Kawa—an Indian virtuoso of the tabla and the project’s co-creator. Blending jazz with Armenian sounds, and improvisation with the memory of tradition, this concert takes the audience on a musical journey where every moment weaves a connection between East and West. A rare and powerful experience.
