Eve & Lionel quartet

Active for some twenty years and a driving force behind various projects (solo, septet, a trio blending acoustic and electronic instruments, a Belgian-Swedish quartet…), pianist Eve Beuvens has formed a new quartet.

By creating new melodies based on the structures of old standards, sprinkling in here and there snippets of pieces that have stayed with her since her teenage years and bringing a fresh perspective to them, she has composed a new repertoire that remains closely tied to standards and traditional jazz.

She has teamed up with saxophonist Elly Brouckmans, double bassist Victor Foulon and her brother Lionel on drums.
