The richness of the project stems from the alchemy between the musicians: Nathan Surquin (Belgium) on trombone, Wajdi Riahi (Tunisia) on piano, Federico Stocchi (Italy) on double bass, and Daniel Jonkers (Netherlands) on drums. Each brings their own influences, musical background, and approach to improvisation to create a coherent, profound, and distinctive sound together. In this natural fusion—of cultures, experiences, and sensibilities—the quartet finds its own voice.

The repertoire consists mainly of pieces from the album *Ambre*. The compositions are inspired by various kinds of encounters: those that take place while traveling, over a cup of coffee, between people from different cultures, but also more intimate bonds, such as those between two people. These are simple yet meaningful moments that the music seeks to convey without words. Each piece is conceived as a conversation: sometimes gentle, sometimes more intense, but always rooted in a collective listening process.

During concerts, Ambre’s compositions take on a different dimension. They expand, transform, and leave room for the unexpected. The forms evolve, the interactions renew themselves, and each performance becomes a space for discovery. The music emerges live, fueled by listening and the moment itself. As a result, every concert is a unique version of the project—a different way of bringing this music to life for the audience.
