Jazz&More: In A Round: Sarah Klenes, Sylvain Debaisieux, Bram De Looze

Sarah Klenes, Bram De Looze and Sylvain Debaisieux met in 2019 as part of a multidisciplinary collective. In In A Round, they explore a repertoire of personal compositions based on French and English lyrics written by Sarah or other poets. An album of the same name was released in spring 2024.Drawing inspiration from the roots of jazz, improvised music and song, they create music marked by a search for timbre and polyphony, at the frontier of several worlds. The voices intertwine and harmonise, drawing you into a spellbinding, luminous, contrasting, kaleidoscopic, plural, poetic, spacious and melodic experience. In the tradition of the trios Equilibrium, Yes is a pleasant country, Azimuth'85, as well as the sound universe of Jessika Kenney and Eyvind Kang.‘Like free birds, we weave the web of an open sky, between abyss and light.’
