Simon Comté Quartet

Simon Comté (born in 2005) is a young jazz saxophonist and composer, born in Brussels and currently living in New York, where he studies at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. His exceptional talent for the saxophone, his great virtuosity, his early musical maturity, and his unique voice on the instrument were quickly recognized by his peers, making him one of the most talented and promising saxophonists of his generation today.

The quartet's repertoire consists mainly of compositions by Simon Comté. His music gives pride of place to dialogue and synergy between the musicians. His style is influenced by his mentors, such as Coltrane, Monk, Brad Mehldau, and Kenny Wheeler.
