Double bassist Yannick Peeters has just formed a new trio, with Matthias De Waele on drums and Sam Comerford on saxophone. Together they strive for a refined interpretation of the saxophone trio, by combining the rich jazz tradition with modern adventures. Only two melody lines that determine the harmony, a drum that provides rhythmic support, all instruments take the lead. Adventure, traditions, and modern movements are fused together in a pure and authentic form of musical expression.
