The recording of a new album, scheduled for release in September 2025, is being produced entirely by a long-standing Belgian label that has produced many major artists: "September" - Hans Kusters Music.
The album features a series of original pieces composed by Filippo Bianchini, with the exception of one by the great Duke Ellington, which also gives the album its title: "Mood Indigo."
The band, Filippo Bianchini's main quartet, brings together some of the best musicians of the new generation, residing in various European capitals.
On piano, we find Nicola Andrioli, one of the best pianists on the European scene; Armando Luongo, a superb drummer; and Igor Spallati, one of the best double bassists on the Berlin scene.
Together for over 10 years, they already have three albums to their credit, all produced by the long-standing band "September."

A few words about the music on the new album - Mood Indigo -
"All the songs are mine, new and unreleased, with the exception of Mood Indigo by the great Duke Ellington.
I started composing the music for this album two years ago.
It is the result of my musical explorations as a composer, musician, and saxophonist.
I've always dreamed of creating beautiful melodies, trying to avoid predictable elements while remaining interesting and direct.
Each song describes something, also considering the overall atmosphere of the album, which is intended to be a varied musical journey.
"Jerry Potato" and "Every 3 Hours" are two songs I dedicated to my son Ettore, who is one and a half years old! (In fact, the album opens with his voice!)
"Trasloco" is a kind of ballad with a calm yet intense atmosphere that expresses the sometimes complex feelings of moving!
"To DS" is a unique song, with varied time signatures but a powerful melodic development.
It's a dedication I wanted to make to a great American musician and saxophonist, Dayna Stephens, who, among other things, came to play at the Umbria Jazz in Orvieto a few years ago.
"Twist" is a kind of Funky Jazz Groove, a catchy song with a distinctive melody.
The approach was intended to be relaxing, but with plenty of groove and a danceable atmosphere!
"Dedo & Utrillo" is a musical canvas dedicated to two great painters of the early 20th century: Amedeo Modigliani and Maurice Utrillo.
A kind of Bolero with a grand crescendo.
Its distinctive feature is this circular melody that repeats and develops, guiding the growth and progression of the music.
The recording concludes with the only non-original piece, which is also the title track of the great Duke Ellington's album "Mood Indigo."
Ellington is one of the greatest musicians in the history of jazz.
He wrote and played sublime and beautiful music.
He is a kind of guide for me.
A constant "beacon" of inspiration in the quest for beauty and artistic purity, which I humbly strive to pursue with dedication and perseverance.
Nicola, Igor, and Armando are incredible, exquisite musicians, instrumentally impeccable, constantly seeking a musical dialogue essential to the creation of "living" and communicative music.
After many years of playing together, we form a formidable group, with a great affinity. The synergy and passion of making music together.
Furthermore, I had the opportunity—and I bored them!—to listen to the album in advance in front of several musicians I particularly appreciate and respect, and to ask them for their reviews.
They were all very kind and positive, and some even left personal notes and comments on the album, which was a real pleasure.
The dedication of the cover, for example, was signed by Dayna Stephens, who, with immense kindness, dedicated these words:
Filippo Bianchini’s new album ''Mood Indigo'' is beautiful new creation that indeed takes the listener through a multitude of inviting moods from the floaty introspective ''Trasloco'', the triumphant ''Dedo & Utrillo'' and to the groovy make you move ''Twist''.
I am honored to also have a beautiful song written for yours truly which I must say is probably my favorite.
It cleverly takes you through different harmonic and rhythmic landscapes all tied together by a lyrical singing melody, my favorite type of song.
The ensemble brilliantly supports Filippo’s luscious sound throughout the this whole recording and assist masterfully in bringing his creative vision to life.
