Call for residencies: Support for creative work from Conseil de la musique

The Conseil de la Musique is launching a call for applications for a residency aimed at supporting the creation of a musical show for young audiences in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

This residency is open to artists and project leaders wishing to develop a professional production aimed at children and families, with a focus on live music.

The residency will take place at the Maison des Musiques in Brussels, the Conseil de la Musique’s venue for hosting and presenting events. A public performance of the project will also be organised there as part of the Kidzik Festival.

The proposed project:

  • must be part of a professional initiative
  • must take the form of a concert or a show that is primarily musical and sung
  • must be aimed at children and families (aged 3 to 10)
  • must last between 35 and 45 minutes
  • must be adapted to the venue’s technical and spatial constraints
  • must incorporate music performed live by professional musicians
  • must be adaptable to minimal technical requirements and various performance contexts (recommended maximum: 3 performers on stage)

All musical styles are welcome.

The deadline for applications is  the 1st of July 2026
