The film "The future is now" puts 8 young musicians in the spotlight

The Future Is Now has been shared with the world.

The idea already dates back to 2016. The musicians of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra are in daily contact with future stars of the jazz scene. They decided to invite eight of them to join them for a concert or a tour. For four seasons, the BJO has included these young talents in its musical endeavors. Today, the complete musical result of these adventures is finally unveiled.

This film compiles recordings made over an extended period of time and also offers interviews with 8 young musicians: Artan Buleshkaj (guitar), Muriel Urquidi (vocals), Matthias Van den Brande (tenor sax), Lennert Baerts (tenor sax), Roeland Celis (guitar), Quinten De Craecker (trombone), Jesse Dockx (drums) and Hendrik Lasure (piano).
