Bigband Battle 2026 promises three days of top international music, nostalgia, and emerging talent.
From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June, the fourth edition of Bigband Battle will take place — the unique festival entirely dedicated to big bands. The concerts will be held at the festival site at G.C. Blikveld in Bonheiden.
Bigband Battle highlights the power of the large orchestra: an impressive line-up of saxophones, trombones and trumpets, driven by a strong rhythm section (drums, guitar, bass and piano), often complemented by vocal artists. The success of the television program LIVE LIVE LIVE, which attracts high viewing figures, also proves that live music performed by large orchestras is once again thriving. Both artists and audiences — young and old — are rediscovering their way to big bands.
This year once again, Bigband Battle presents a particularly attractive and diverse programme, featuring international collaborations, nostalgia, and young talent.
