We discovered this trio at our friends’ Black Cat Jazz Club in Torhout and were immediately won over!
Three young women – Nette, Sofie and Julie – from Ghent, which has become something of a mecca for Flemish jazz, share the same passion: swing and the voice as a musical instrument in its own right.
The trio is remarkable for the precision of its vocal harmonies. Each voice has its own range, tone and character, blending beautifully with the other two.
The three singers are superbly accompanied by double bass and guitar, adding even more warmth and depth to this all-female vocal project.
