Ibrahim Maalouf makes a grand return with his 17th album.
As much philosophical as it is historical, T.O.M.A, an acronym for Trumpets of Michel-Ange, is a great musical adventure that transports us to a world where folklore and modernity become one.
As always, Ibrahim takes on the challenge of creating music that is demanding yet accessible to the general public.
“T.O.M.A” is first and foremost a multicultural album, a true blend of influences where festive and nostalgic Eastern sounds are expressed with rare freedom.
“T.O.M.A” is also the name of a trumpet brand created by Ibrahim in collaboration with French manufacturers. It is this unique instrument, invented more than half a century ago by his father, that Ibrahim plays on stage and uses to train the next generation of trumpet players.
“T.O.M.A” is, finally, a big celebration that brings together all generations—amateurs, professionals, and special guests alike!
With T.O.M.A, Ibrahim lays the foundation for an ambitious life project combining instrument making, French cultural heritage, education, music, live performance—all with the goal of uniting us around shared values.
