Altera Vita (2024, BBE Music) is a tribute to Pharaoh Sanders and the first studio album by the multi-award-winning duo Tony Kofi and Alina Bzhezhinska. On this album, saxophone and harp blend in perfect harmony, with both musicians also handling most of the percussion. Tony Kofi is recognized as one of UK’s leading jazz saxophonists and regularly performs with the legendary group Cymande. Alina Bzhezhinska is the harpist of Shabaka’s band and is praised as the "New Sound of Europe". The duo’s innovative and refreshing approach is palpable throughout the whole album.
