Adrien Volant et Paolo Loveri - Concert de présentation du nouvel album "RESILIENCE"

In 2003, Adrien Volant received the Best Soloist Award at the Albert Langue competition, organized by the Maison du Jazz en Hainaut.

Michel Herr's comment:

A true duo, in which each musician can give free rein to their inspiration, but above all give the best of themselves in music created together and based on listening and interaction. On one hand, Adrien Volant's refined and assertive trumpet playing, with adventurous improvisations and a very personal sound. On the other hand, the polymorphic, rich, and colorful acoustic guitars of this complete musician that is Paolo Loveri. Throughout a contrasting repertoire, made up of original compositions evolving in various styles, they invite us to follow them in their very lively dialogue, full of subtlety and freshness. A perfect understanding and a great success.

Richard Rousselet's comment:

These two musicians know each other well, musically and personally. This is necessary to play in this formula where space is maximized for each one. But it is still necessary to occupy this space well. And that's the case here. Paolo and Adrien play with great complicity and each piece is a story about a childhood memory, a lost friend, the mother, the children, the partner... Paolo first ensured the rhythmic and harmonic framework, then the two accomplices have fun on original compositions. Adrien develops beautiful ideas, the clear line specific to the trumpet is well highlighted. Paolo is creative and surprising, as usual. I love it!
