CREATIVE RESIDENCY IN CONTEMPORARY MUSIC WITH A GRANT
The CCN / Namur Cultural Centre and the Théâtre de Namur are a single institution whose diverse activities and objectives are based at two locations: one on the site of the former Bomel Slaughterhouses, and the other in the heart of Namur city centre. The Centre culturel de Namur is recognised within a scheme of specialisations linked to artist residencies.
Support offered:
Facilities
• Weeks 1 and 2:
Soundproofed room (music studio) made available to the artist(s), to be equipped according to the project
• 3rd week:
Performance hall equipped with a sound and lighting system, with technical support, to be defined jointly according to the project.
Accommodation
Accommodation provided at the CCN / Namur Cultural Centre (on the site of the former Bomel Slaughterhouses), with a maximum of 6 artists accommodated.
Duration
The residency takes place over three consecutive weeks:
From 19 October to 6 November 2026
Programme objectives
• To provide artists with the time and resources for artistic creation
• To enable the public to become familiar with art and the creative process
• To facilitate encounters with artists by making the creative process visible and encouraging an understanding of their craft
• To ensure a public presentation during a concert marking the end of the residency
