Vanessa Matthys is a well-established name on the Belgian jazz scene. She obtained a Master’s degree in Jazz Vocals from the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels (under David Linx) and has built up a strong reputation over the years as a singer, performer and teacher. She has collaborated with, amongst others, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Dirk Brossé and Ivan Paduart, and is known for her warm tone, refined phrasing and strong musical personality.
Together, they present a rich and accessible jazz repertoire, centred on lyrical singing, subtle improvisation and strong musical interaction. Their concerts are layered both in content and emotion and appeal to a broad jazz audience.
The quartet’s new album, *The Secret Vault*, is due for release in 2026. This album features new and carefully crafted material that underscores the ensemble’s artistic maturity and distinctiveness.
