ACCORDS CROISÉS: CONCERT & DÉGUSTATION DE VIN BY ERIC LEGNINI, PIERRE-JEAN VILLA & SOBELVIN

When wine and piano resonate, the senses awaken!

On Saturday, May 9, Uhoda Jazz in Liège invites you to experience a unique sensory journey at the Regina Club (Rue Saint-Paul 27, 4000 Liège), bringing together pianist Eric Legnini and winemaker Pierre-Jean Villa, in collaboration with our partner Sobelvin.

From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., six carefully selected cuvées will be available for tasting and commented by Pierre-Jean Villa, each echoing a piano interpretation imagined by Eric Legnini. A sensitive encounter between aromas and notes, between the texture of a wine and the vibration of a chord.

Since 1999, Eric Legnini has performed regularly at Jazz à Vienne. It was in this context that a decisive encounter was born with the world of wine, and the desire to explore the correspondences between these two forms of expression. How can one translate into music the freshness of a white wine, the depth of a red, the length of a grand cru? How can one make gustatory sensations resonate in harmonies and emotions?

The crafting of a wine—from the cultivation of the soil to the expression of its taste—shares many points in common with the journey of a musician, from learning to performing. In both cases, it is a voyage of patience, listening, and exploration.

More than a simple tasting or a concert, this event will above all be a moment of sharing and conviviality, a parenthesis in time to taste, to listen, and to exchange.
