Merkür duo offers music rooted in the electro-psychedelic music of the 1970s (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Pink Floyd, etc.), ambient music (Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, etc.) and the fusions that followed (Soft Machine and others, European jazz from ECM, Aphex Twin, etc.), while also drawing inspiration from Eastern music. Their amalgam is concocted by Henri Greindl on modified guitars, vintage and digital electronic instruments, and other sound boxes, and Daniel Stokart on saxophones, flutes, and other wind instruments.
