Jazz in de Fwajee - Toon Rumen

The young promising double bass player Toon Rumen puts together an occasional trio that meets each other for the first time on stage: Roeland Celis (guitar), Samuel Ber (drums) and Toon Rumen (double bass). In all openness they explore each other's sound world using their own compositions, inspired by groups and artists such as Octurn, Bo Van Der Werf, Aka Moon, Benoit Delbecq and Felix Henkelhausen. Expect an evening of subtle interaction, rich harmonies and space for spontaneous musical twists. An intimate introduction to a new jazz trio in full discovery.

Curator Gert-Jan Dreessen, drummer/composer and one of the great jazz talents of his generation, invites fellow musicians from Belgium and the Euregio to Sint-Truiden especially for this concert series. The Fwajee will be converted into an intimate jazz club for the occasion and after the concert you can chat with the musicians with a regional beer, wine or a non-alcoholic alternative in hand.
