Atlantic Avenue Trio

The trio is composed by Rui Salgado on the Double Bass, Victor Da Costa on the guitar and Toon Van Dionant on drums. The concept of the group is based on an imaginary avenue that crosses the  Atlantic Ocean. this avenue beguins in Brussels, town where the musicians live , passing through Portugal - land of the  double bass player and founder of the band: Rui salgado, and arrival in Rio de Janeiro - town where the guitarist lived as a young musician. The final destination  is New York where jazz is the most developed. During this trip, the repertoire for the first album: Atlantic Avenue, was created by bringing together Choro's from Rio de Janeiro, songs from the North East of Brazil, Fados from Lisboa and performing them as a Jazz guitar trio.
