Jazz and cinema were born at the same time and have often had close ties. Since "The Jazz Singer", the first talking film, their paths have regularly crossed.
The O.S.T. Quintet (Original Soundtrack) revisits some of the great themes of film music, adapting them and using them as a springboard for improvisation. With Alain Cupper on baritone saxophone, Adrien Leconte on trumpet, Vincent Romain on guitar, Alexandre Furnelle on double bass and Thierry Gutmann on drums, the O.S.T. group takes the listener on a sonic treasure hunt where images and blue notes intersect. Cinema loves jazz, and jazz makes cinema swing.
