Sdban Records made its name in 2014 with the release of the Funky Chicken compilation and has since grown into one of Belgium’s leading jazz labels. This high-quality label has played a key role in a new wave of groundbreaking and boundary-pushing Belgian jazz artists, including STUFF., De Beren Gieren, Steiger, ECHT!, and TaxiWars. After several label nights in its hometown of Ghent and in Brussels, we now welcome Sdban to Schouwburg De Kern to introduce you to exciting new artists.

Line-up:

Glass Museum
Since 2016, Glass Museum has explored the unique dynamic between keyboardist Antoine Flipo and drummer Martin Grégoire. Their music balances between synthetic and organic sounds, creating atmospheric soundscapes. Their cinematic compositions take listeners on a journey through time and genres, blending minimal techno, breakbeat, jazz, and deep house on a neoclassical foundation.

Ciao Kennedy
Ciao Kennedy fuses jazz, post-rock, and electronic music into an immersive, colorful sound. Their debut album Solarium, set for release on March 21, 2025, via Sdban, is a journey between light and shadow, filled with hypnotic beats and melancholic energy.

Azmari
Azmari moves between Ethio-groove and Afrobeat, incorporating Eastern sounds, dub, and wild rhythms. Their latest, second album Maelström clearly showcases their influences, ranging from Okay Temiz, Heliocentrics, and Whitefield Brothers to Surprise Chef, Antibalas, and Sons of Kemet. A guaranteed party when performed live!
