Lydie Thonnard is a Brussels-based flutist, singer and body percussionist. She performs in various chamber music projects in which improvisation plays an important part, and she already has more than ten album recordings to her name.
Her ensembles include Auster Loo with Simon Leleux (world/alternative), Ensemble Vibrations (flute septet), Olivier Thomas's Pocket Koral (a cappella vocal ensemble) and, last but not least, Les Chanteuses Anonymes. Her first solo project, L'évidence des nuages, is announced for spring 2025.
In addition to her musical projects, she shares her passion through teaching and often runs workshops on voice, creativity and how to create rhythms by using the whole body as instrument.
