Vigdis Hansa Elst earned her Master's degree in Composition (Classical) under Wim Henderickx and Luc Vanhove at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. For her graduation project, she created the scenic and poetic concert "Bloot," in collaboration with Muziektheater Transparant/TRANSLAB. Additionally, she delved into improvisation in the jazz department of the same conservatory.
Her oeuvre includes vocal music, small music productions for animated film, instrumental chamber music, and increasingly, compositions for improvising musicians. She has won several awards, and her music is published by Euprint Ed..
Today, Vigdis is increasingly performing as a soloist with her own compositions and improvisations, either solo or in groups.
