Kobe Boon (°1992) is a Belgian bassplayer based in Ghent. He graduated in 2016 as master in basguitar & in 2017 for doublebass ader studying at the conservatories of Ghent, Antwerp and Gothenburg.
Over the years he took lessons with Stefan Lievenstro, Nic Thys, Christoph Devisscher, Yanncik Peeters, Nathan Wouters, Christian Mendoza, Erik Vermeulen. In 2014 he was staying in Gothenburg, Sweden as an exchange student. Here he took lessons with Anders Jormin, Anders Hagber, Thomas Markusson.
Interested in new music, composition and improvisation and searching for a personal voice, Kobe plays in different jazz and impromusic projects.
