Musician, bassist, guitarist and composer, Théo Zipper is a multifaceted artist, known for his creativity and commitment to improvised music. Born into a family of artists, he developed an early sensitivity to sound expression, nurtured by his parents’ rich record collection. Engaged in a constant exploration of musical questions, he favors unexpected dialogues and aesthetic collisions.
Based in Brussels, he founded the Collectif Thöz, which serves as both an independent label and an artistic platform. There, he produces his own work as well as that of his closest collaborators. In parallel, he develops several projects, including his band Sauvage. In addition, he performs solo concerts that blend guitar, bass, and electronics, often collaborating with painters, actors, or dancers in an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approach.
Théo Zipper is also a sought-after collaborator. He has played and recorded alongside renowned musicians such as Aleph Quintet, Fabrizio Cassol, Akram Ben Romdhane, Manuel Hermia, and Wajdi Riahi, among others.
