Meeting with Kris Defoort, composer

Sabam is organising an exclusive meeting with the creators of the compulsory works for the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2025, among them Kris Defoort, creator of Music for the Heart, the compulsory work for piano and orchestra in the final.

Sabam is therefore inviting the composers on  Wednesday 23 April from 10am to 12.30pm   for a privileged moment on their rooftop, during which Kris Defoort will share his vision of composition, improvisation and the encounter between opera and jazz.

The meeting will take place in English and will be followed by a convivial lunch.

A meeting with the composer of the compulsory work for the semi-final, Ana Sokolović, will also take place on 15 May.
