On Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June 2024, Daar Events vzw, in association with co-producers GC 't Blikveld, Hnita Jazz Club, Jazzzolder Mechelen and programme partner VLAMO, will organise the Bigband Battle 2024.
After a successful first edition in 2023, this time the festival will go 'BIG' with no fewer than 9 bands. This time, we will swap the iconic site of the old Meuropsite in Rijmenam for another legendary temple of culture.
In the covered amphitheatre of 't Blikveld, we will give 9 big bands a unique concert stage. In addition, several jazz combos will bring enthusiasts into the right mood in the theatre hall, which will be transformed into a cosy jazz club.
