Stage de Jazz en Gaume

The Gaume Jazz association organize a jazz course for amateur musicians (accessible from the age of 12 and without age limit) and particularly for those who attend music academies and conservatories, musical workshops and other places for learning and practicing music.
First approach to jazz or improvement to its practice, this course is available in boarding school and in day school at the ISF in Virton. It also gives pride of place to collective work, ensemble lessons and combos.
Combos will be set up under the direction of teachers. These combos may take different forms and may include a creative approach to writing, composition, arrangements as well as the interpretation of standards. Particular attention will be paid to the choice of pieces from the Belgian repertoire and to women composers. Close in style with the end-of-course pieces which will be presented on the stage of the Gaume Jazz Festival.
