A world of integrity on solo double bass
With Fantômes… Futurs, Kham Meslien presents a solo project that rarely feels like a solo performance. Armed with double bass, looper, effects, charango and percussion, he constructs layered compositions in which silence, resonance and melody take centre stage. The music moves freely between melancholic jazz, pop, bossa nova, free improvisation and world rhythms, with a strong cinematic quality and a distinct sense of space.
