ALMA begins her artistic journey with a project that reflects her personality: a blend of pop, folk, tribal sounds and an acoustic, intimate sensibility. She is joined by her father, accordionist Didier Laloy, to create a dialogue where each naturally finds their place, an unexpected middle ground: ALMA on composition and vocals, Didier on arrangements and artistic direction. Their musical encounter combines the melancholic softness of Lana Del Rey with the power of world music. A sincere and unique collaboration, driven by a strong identity, without seeking to follow trends or flatter the spirit of the times.
Alongside Alma, the project brings together musicians from the Belgian and European folk scene. On backing vocals and percussion, Verónica Codesal brings her experience and vocal sensitivity. She has been a member of the groups Ialma and Cen Volas, and was also one of the singers in Urban Trad, which represented Belgium in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest. On the diatonic accordion, Didier Laloy shares the stage with his daughter. After several years of performing and a recent anniversary tour, he is now committed to passing on his knowledge, which is at the heart of this family project. Alma provides vocals and piano. Her presence connects the generations and gives the project its balance. Jean-Paul Kasprzyk's electric and acoustic guitars complete the ensemble. He has been particularly active in the Yew and Oootoko projects.
