Sarah Lema Quintet is a five-piece band consisting of five young musicians who met at the Antwerp Conservatory.
With Winter Dieleman on flugelhorn and trumpet, Rune De Grootte on drums, Tristan Baars on bass, Flor Wellens on piano and Sarah Lema on vocals, they form a band that focuses on a fresh take on traditional jazz with hard bop and bebop influences, but also on singer Sarah Lema's own compositions.
Her own work is mainly influenced by jazz, neo-soul and folk. Together, they focus on spontaneity, energy and emotion.
