Louis Martinez, founder and artistic director of the Jazz à Sète festival, firmly rooted in jazz, and Jean-Marc Floury, with his very personal “half-jazz/half-blues” style, have forged strong bonds of musical friendship over the past 25 years. It must be said that despite their differences in style, the two guitarists share a sense of improvisation, melody, and groove.
During lockdown, Louis Martinez and Jean-Marc Floury chose to converse through music, and they did well!
The duo drew from this dialogue to create a smooth, silky, and sparkling album with subtle and precise flourishes and varied rhythms.
