Iguazù Quintet

Iguazù Quintet

Iguazú Quintet is a young Belgian ensemble composed of multifaceted musicians offering a modern vision of Tango Nuevo. Together, they explore new territories through numerous original arrangements punctuated by improvisation, and through collaborations with numerous contemporary composers.

Iguazú Quintet was founded in 2016 at the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Arts2), and has since developed into a professional project combining classical music, tango, and jazz, performing on Belgian and international stages.

After recording a first album dedicated to Astor Piazzolla, released in 2020, the group will release its new album, "Passages," in July 2023, dedicated to contemporary Tango Nuevo composers, continuing an artistic trajectory that blends musical genres and positions itself as a "Chamber Jazz" ensemble.
