VAAGUE is the solo project of Brussels-based drummer and producer Antoine Pierre, born from his desire to merge acoustic drums with electronic sound. Inspired by Thom Yorke’s 2018 “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes” live show, he developed a system of sensors linking his drum kit to his computer, paving the way for immersive, unrestricted creation. Since 2020, VAAGUE has been exploring a space between jazz, experimental electronics, and organic textures, with two critically acclaimed EPs, collaborations (Le Motel, Amy Root, Dorian Dumont), and performances across Belgium and abroad. In October 2024, he releases his debut album Oktopus Mekaniks, continuing his sonic exploration with precision, boldness, and elegance.
