Elli de Mon is a true one-woman band, wielding a resonator guitar, percussion, and a saturated voice to craft a raw, visceral blues. Influenced by the roots of early blues (Bessie Smith, Son House) as well as the energy of garage punk, she has developed a lysergic and intense sound over seven critically acclaimed albums, performing across Europe. Her latest release, Pagan Blues (2023), dives into dark, shifting, untamed territory — rejecting fixed truths and reverential approaches to the genre. Electric, free, and fearless, Elli turns the blues into a space for questioning, rather than certainties.
